This course identifies the basic rules for non linear editing with Final Cut Pro. It can be modified to suit your requirements, either for beginners or for industry professionals to polish up their skillset ready for this highly competitive employment market.

 

 

Experience
Our tutor has worked as a Film Editor for over a decade on such projects as Sky's HD Production of Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic, the BBC Period Drama, Fanny Hill and Shakira's Documentary - 'Behind the Scenes', the G20 Protests for Sky News and Western Geco's Documentary, etc.

 

Hands-on course
The course assumes no previous knowledge of editing.
With a mixture of demonstration followed by hands on practice, students work on their own individual projects. They also have the opportunity to review and discuss their work.

 
 
Learn how to:
  • capture/import footage from our Sony Z1 broadcast camera;
    You will be taken from the most basic level to more
    advanced editing techniques, and will be taught
    how to speed up your work using the most common shortcuts.
  • use colour correction;
  • fix sound levels;
  • set up and manage your projects;
  • output projects onto a different range of video formats;
  • and much more.
